Team Goal Academy

Team Goal is a private Girls Football Academy. Following a training programme designed by Manchester United ETC Technical Lead and Academy Head Coach Martin Greening, we aim to produce talented young footballers that are confident in their creativity, technique and decision making to receive the ball under intense and retain possession.

Team Goal Academy compete against boys teams in local Manchester and Cheshire leagues to provide a more intensive challenge on match days in addition to their regular training programme.

Team Goal Academy currently have teams ranging from U8s to U14s. All of these compete on Sundays in boys leagues around Greater Manchester area.

In previous years talented female footballers have often looked to join boys teams in order to play with players of a similar ability. At Team Goal Academy we provide that additional challenge by playing with other girls of similar abilities that are capable of competing within the boys leagues.

Most Team Goal Academy players also play for other local grassroots teams or professional ETCs. Team Goal Academy is often seen as an additional opportunity for a higher level of coaching in a more challenging league with a better level of intensity. Where possible we try to avoid clashes with local grassroots clubs that mostly play on Saturday mornings so that girls are not forced to leave their existing teams and friends.
